Star
Sweet as nectar
Resplendent as sapphires lit by an errant moonbeam
You shine
A solitary twinkling light the night time sky
Glorious and alluring
I turn my gaze upward, seeking you out
Rain your dust down upon me angel
Give me reason to smile
To believe there exists in this wicked, hopeless, soulless world
Something worth reaching for
Stunning beauty entices,
Powerful and paralyzing
Inspired, I would entrance the panther
Lay your head upon my lap ferocious one and whisper with your poets soul
I have no more hope than a mere mortal does to touch a star
Yet think of you gently and often.
Sun
Burst from the heavens upon a chariot of olde
He reigns supreme
More glorious than Charlemagne
Twice as golden as the king
Upon a throne of charm he sits smiling at the masses
Not looking down upon them but seeking to lift them up
Regal in his bearing and in his being,
Loved for who he is on the inside more so than the skin he slips on
The inner circle Sees
Feel privileged if you have a piece of his highly classified information
and know
There is no one else on earth quite like him.
A loyal friend and a staunch protector,
Loving benefactor
Advisor, guru and all around guide
Perfect, nay
He doth try hard to exceed expectations
More his own than yours
A rare black pearl in a white washed world
Kindred kind in the purest sense,
I call him Brother.
Moon
Ice versus flame
Tis all a game of wits
Smiles hidden and exposed
We See
No mask can keep truth veiled
The Maiden admires the Dragon for his breath as much as his form
So fine and sharp his point
She does not envy those whom are cut nor scorned
Two of a kind in mind and perhaps heart
The dance performed sublime and surreal
Few understand and can keep up
Pirourette,
On pointe
Once upon a time,
En garde
Wandering in the shadows of the violent garden arm and arm
Enshrouded in garments of carefully woven mystery,
She inclines her head towards him to murmur,
You are so wicked I cannot help but adore you.
With a cool smile he replies,
I know.
